Obituary

Hyndman, PA – Donald W. McCoy, 68, of Hyndman, lost his battle with Covid-19, Sunday December 13, 2020 at UPMC Western Maryland.
Born August 18, 1952 in Cumberland, he was a son James W. “Bill” and Tolva Jean (Shaffer) McCoy. He is preceded in death by his father.
Survived by his wife of 40 years, Kathy (Romesberg) McCoy; son, Coby W. McCoy and wife Anna and granddaughter, Emery; son, Donald J. McCoy and grandchildren, Ashley and Sam; mother, Tolva Jean McCoy; sisters, Barbara Fisher and husband Mike, Diann Ryan and husband Gary; brother, Patrick McCoy and wife Joan; several nieces and nephews.
Donald was a 1971 graduate of Hyndman High School. He served our country in the US Army during Vietnam. He was a crane/heavy equipment operator for the Union Local 37, Baltimore, Carl Belt Inc. for 48 years.
He was a beloved family man who enjoyed his granddaughter Emery McCoy, she was the light of his life.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved spending time at the family cabin on the mountain, hunting and trapping. He also enjoyed summers on the water in Ontario, Canada fishing with family and friends.
Due to the current Covid 19 pandemic services will be private.
Burial at Cooks Mill Cemetery.
