Doris L. Evans, 93, of Hyndman entered everlasting life with her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ on July 13, 2022 at Devlin Manor Nursing Home.

Doris was a daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. Charles Evans. She was the fifth of nine children.

Doris was a graduate of Hyndman High School, Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Wesley Memorial Hospital in the School of Anesthesia for Nurses, Chicago and Moody Bible Institute, Chicago. Doris served as a missionary for twenty years under the auspices of North Africa Mission (now Pioneers)

Preceded in death by sisters, Betty Ruth Evans and Jean Beck and husband Jack; brothers, Rev.  Luman Evans and wife Gilda, Rev. Charles Evans Jr., Rev. Dwight Evans and Donald Evans; sister-in-law, Vivian B. Evans; three nephews, and a niece.

Survived by a brother, Vincent Evans, a sister, Shirley Evans; sisters-in-law, Clara Evans, Betty Lou Evans, and Charlene (Snooks) Evans-Mender; 26 nieces and nephews; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Monday July 18, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. where a funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. with Pastor Ken Korns officiating.

Burial will be private at Hyndman Cemetery.
