Dorothy E. Emerick

Hyndman, PA Dorothy E. Emerick, 80, of Hyndman died, Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.
Born September 15, 1934, in Bard, PA; she was a daughter of the late Frank and Nellie (Glessner) Holler. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gary L. Emerick; and a sister, Shirley Lafferty; and longtime companion, James Ringler.
Survived by children, Mike Emerick and wife Kim of Hyndman, Bob Emerick and wife Denise of Buffalo Mills, Jennette Kerns and husband Mike of Cumberland; daughter in-law, Vicki Emerick of Hyndman; brothers, Blair Holler and wife Helen, Robert Holler and wife Ida, Frank Holler and wife Donna, Dalton Holler and wife, Faye, Jim Holler and wife Louise all of Buffalo Mills; sisters, Anna “Doll” Foor of New Enterprise, Blanche Lowery of Woodbridge, VA; 7 grandchildren, Lori Sisk and husband Brian, Jeff Wise and fianc Tanya, Andrea Emerick, Brittani Emerick and fianc Cory, Candace Emerick, Katie Sites and husband Trevor, Dylan Emerick and girlfriend Chelsey, a great grandson, Ty Sisk.
Dorothy was the Manager at Harvey’s Jewelry Store. She retired after 39 years of service. She was a member of the Palo Alto United Methodist Church, former ladies Aux of the Eagles Club.
She enjoyed attending church, spending time with her grandchildren and watching their sporting events.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 4 p.m. with Pastor Ken Haines officiating.
Burial will follow at Palo Alto Hilltop Cemetery.
