E. Irene Duppstadt, 91, of Buffalo Mills, PA went to be with her Lord, January 9, 2018, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown, PA.

Born August 7, 1926 near Fishertown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Harry James and Mary Rebecca (Deremer) Ringler. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 70 years, W. Homer Duppstadt on June 28, 2016; sisters, Helen Lafferty and Pearline Brooks; and sons-in-law, Jack Brownfield and Edward Frostad.

She is survived by daughters, Joyce Frostad of Anchorage, AK; Carol and husband, Bill Roudabush, of State College, PA and Bowie, MD; sons, Paul and wife, Susan (Crilly), of Buffalo Mills, PA; David and wife, Megan (Woods), of Sylva, NC; a brother, George Ringler and wife Darlene of SC; and 8 grandchildren: Stefanie, Brian, Matthew, Shane, Kevin, Adrienne, Sarah and Maggie and 8 great-grandchildren: Brayden, Tyler, Taia, Bryce, Parker, Brady, Isabella, Thomas and many extended family.

Irene was a graduate of Hyndman High. She was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Fairhope, PA where her husband was the Pastor. She taught Sunday School for 30 years. She was a 4-H leader for 20 years and a co-founder of Dry Ridge Homemakers Club.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Friday January 12, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday January 13, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Bishop Michael Rhyne officiating. Burial will follow at Osterburg Community Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations will be to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
