Hyndman, PA – Earl “Joe” Sager, 85, of Hyndman, PA went to be with the Lord Friday, January 31, 2020, at UPMC Bedford Hospital.

Born November 30, 1934 in Cumberland, MD; He was a son of the late William E. Sager and Margaret (Yohn) May. He was also preceded in death by stepfather, Russell May; wife Joan (Blank) Sager in 2019; a son, Rodney Sager in 1986.

Survived by daughters, Rhonda Shaffer and husband Mark, Hyndman; Michele Rivera and husband Juan Carlos, Alexandria, VA, Renee` Dawson and Husband John, Manassas Park, VA, Brother, John Sager of Bedford, Jim May and wife Barb of Hyndman; stepmother Eva Sager of Hyndman; sisters, Laverne Blank and husband Les of Hyndman, Donna Sager of Hyndman,; six grandchildren, Keith Sager and wife Cynthia, Cheree Blacker and husband Josh, Jessica Pencil husband Jack, Robin Lashley, Hayden Dawson, Yoi Rivera; eight great grandchildren, Andrew, Sarah, Olivia, JJ, Everett, Alexandra, Gia, and Nataleh.

Joe was a member of Calvary Bible Church, Ellerslie. Over the years he had worked at the for the Railroad, Allegany Ballistic Laboratory, The Celanese Corp. and Pittsburgh Plate Glass. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed fishing, softball, hunting, working at the church, stock car races and Duke basketball.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Tuesday February 4, 2020 From 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at Calvary Bible Church, 13901S Gardner St, Ellerslie on Wednesday February 5, 2020 at 11 a.m. with Pastors Greg Miller and Ken Korn officiating. Visitation one hour prior to the service
