Obituary

Mount Savage, MD – Edward F. Padfield Jr., 62, of Mount Savage passed away December 29, 2022 at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital
Born August 16, 1960 in Cumberland; he was a son of the late George and Carol (McCullough) Clise. He is also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Harold “Peck” Weimer,
Survived by his wife of 35 years, Kelly M. (Weimer) Padfield, children, Mark Padfield, Crystal Bell (Nicholas), Matthew Padfield (Stephanie), Amber Weimer, and Nathan Padfield; grandchildren, Chloie, Mattie, Oakley, Journey, Bentley, Landon, Logan, Brooklyn, Camden, Savannah, Kaydrian, Chance, Karsen, and Zachary; sisters, Brenda Lucas (Kenny), Debbie Clise, Krista Stevens (Pat), Michelle Clise (Emily); a brother, Robbie Clise; mother-in-law, Loie Weimer; sisters-in-law, Karen Sturtz (Richard), Kim Weimer (Joe), Karrie Sturtz (Richard), many nieces, nephews and friends; especially his racing buddies, Dilan and Dalton Weimer.
Ed retired in 2020 after 40 years of service with the Western Maryland Health System where he worked in maintenance and housekeeping. He spent the last years working at Frosburg Village. He enjoyed Dirt Track Racing and helping local drivers work on their race cars. He liked to hunt, fish, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He had coached soccer, baseball and softball and was involved in BMX and Go cart racing. He was a member of Piney Mountain and Barrelville Outdoor Club.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Monday January 2, 2023 from 2 to 5 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 5 p.m. with Pastor James Glass officiating.
