Hyndman, PA – Elizabeth Ann Evans, 79, of Hyndman went to be with the Lord Sunday, September 8, 2019, at home surrounded by her family.

Born October 23, 1939 in Hyndman; she was a daughter of the late Donald A. and Elizabeth M. (Shaffer) Thomas. She was preceded in death by a sister, Marian Sue Thomas

Survived by husband of 56 years, Edward W. “Bud” Evans Jr. whom she married, June 8, 1963; sons, Cody Evans and wife Zarina of Harrisburg, Monte Evans and wife Stephanie of Heber City, UT, a daughter, Shani Evans of Harpers Ferry, WV; daughter-in-law and special friend, Cindy Zimmerman of Hyndman; grandchildren, Bianca, Edward, Daniel, Amanda, Craig, Andrew, Shayla, Hannah and Levi; great grandchildren, Damon, Aiden, Brooklynn and Madison; a sister, Kay A. Diehl and husband Woody of Hyndman, a brother, Neil Thomas and wife Jane of Highland, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

Prior to getting married she worked at Dorothy O’Rourke’s Insurance, ABL and at Deist Pharmacy, her favorite job. Ann was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church, Hyndman. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Oscar Jordan Post 7375. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Friends will be received at the First United Methodist Church; 183 First Ave, Hyndman on Wednesday September 11, 2019 from 1 to 3 p.m. where a service will follow at 3p.m. with Rev Kenneth Haines officiating.

Burial will follow at Hyndman Cemetery.
