Ella Jean (Geiger) Troutman passed from this life to the next on January 25, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Irvin and Lorretta (Beal) Geiger; sisters, Mary Everline, Esther Geiger, Virginia Humble, Pauline Sturtz, and Margaret Ann Huff. She was also preceded in death by a son, Larry Troutman, daughter-in-law, Sharon Troutman, and a grandson, Christopher Troutman.

Born on March 9, 1929. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband Harold E. “Bink” Troutman; four children, Sandra Novak and husband Louis, Walnut Cove, NC, Brad Troutman and wife Diann, Hyndman, PA, Dale Troutman and wife Margaret, Wellersburg, PA, Sharon Moody and husband Chuck, LaVale, MD, and former daughter-in-law, Kathy Troutman, Wellersburg, PA. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She married the boy she met at 5 years old. She must have decided she didn’t need to look any further, and we’re glad she didn’t. They spent 68 years as husband and wife. Life wasn’t easy for them, they both worked hard making their own contributions to their commitment to each other. They lived on Grand View Farms, where she spent her time taking care of her husband and children. She was an excellent cook and baker. She always had cookies available for whoever stopped by. She had a creative spirit, and decorated her home with natural elements she found in God’s Creation. She maintained a beautiful display of flowers in her many colored beds. She worked very hard to do her best in all of her endeavors. We are saddened by our loss on Earth but rejoice in her new beginning in Heaven.

Friends will be received at the Calvary Bible Church, 13901 S. Gardener Ave, Ellerslie, MD on Friday January 29, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A service will follow at 1 p.m with Pastors Ken Korns and Greg Miller officiating.
