Hyndman, PA – G. Edward Scritchfield, 74, of Hyndman went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 13, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his family.

 Born February 13, 1941, in Cumberland, MD; he was a son of the late Benjamin and  Ruby (Oster) Scritchfield. He was also preceded in death by his wife Ellen J. (Wenrich) Scritchfield, a son, Brian K. Scritchfield; and a brother, John Scritchfield.

 He is survived by a son, Gerry E. Scritchfield, Jr. and wife Julie of Hyndman; a daughter, Beth A. Divelbiss and husband David of Alderson, WV; daughter-in-law,  Julie Scritchfield of Granville, OH , brother,  Dennis Scritchfield and wife Linda of New Holland; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Scritchfield worked at the Kelly Springfield Tire Company, retiring in 1987. He served in the US Army and was a member of the Calvary Bible Church.

Friends will be received at the Calvary Bible Church, Ellerslie, on Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the church on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastors Ken Korns and Greg Miller officiating,

Burial will follow in Porter Cemetery, Hyndman, PA.
