Buffalo Mills, PA  – Gail Chaney, 59, loving mother of two, and adoring wife to husband Roger Chaney, was united with her Lord and Savior on February 27th, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. It would be wrong to say that Gail lost her battle, because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was she always thanked the Lord for her blessings.

Born December 20th, 1962, a daughter of Carl Smith and Doris (Pensyl) Smith. Gail touched the life of everyone she met. She married Roger Chaney on August 21, 1982, who survives along sons, Jonathan Chaney and wife Heather Chaney, Bradley Chaney and wife Jenelle Chaney; special niece, Shelly and husband Jon.  She also cherished all eight of her grandchildren; Carl, Aydon, Logan, Ethan, Evan, Colton, Jackson, and Ean. Aside from her husband and sons, Gail is survived by her father Carl Smith and wife Alice Smith, sister Cathy Kostick and husband Dave Kostick Sr. Meeting Gail at the gates of Heaven are her mother Doris Smith, and infant sister, two infant grandchildren and a nephew, David Michael Kostick Jr.

Gail was an associate pastor at Souls Harbor Church. She took great pride in her prison ministry and walking witnessing to all that she encountered. She was a caregiver to many people over the years. Gail was an incredible wife and mother, and would often tribute her greatest accomplishment as raising two incredible boys. Gail enjoyed getting out and shopping, flowers, and gardening. She enjoyed singing and playing the guitar with her church family. Gail will be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know her and will be remembered by her happiness and smile.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. where a service will follow at noon with Pastor Betty Kennedy officiating.

Burial will follow at Madley Cemetery, Buffalo Mills.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help defer expenses.
