Gerald “Sonny” F. Logsdon, 93, of Cumberland passed away November 7, 2022 at Mountain City Center, Frostburg

Born March 1, 1929 in Youngstown, OH; he was a son of the late Jesse and Mary (Burkey) Logsdon. He is also preceded in death by his wife Faye A. (Stuby) Logsdon; son, Larry Logsdon, daughter, Joyce Printy, siblings, William, Robert, Jerry, and Stephen Logsdon, Nellie Helen Briner, Mary Louise Mckenzie, Jo Ann Logsdon.

Survived by children, Deborah Smith and husband William of Hyndman, Judith Cosgrove and husband James, Cumberland, Wayne Stuby and wife Jackie of Cumberland, Gary Logsdon and wife Vicki of Cumberland, Michael Logsdon and wife Barbara of Wiley Ford, WV, Kimberly Logsdon of Cumberland, Edward Logsdon and wife Dawn of Ridgley, WV; 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Sonny was the owner of Logsdon Lumber. He attended Calvary Bible Church and enjoyed reading his Bible. He loved the outdoors, hunting, nature, gardening, cooking, going to sales, tinkering, and reading Lancaster Farmer. He was a wonderful father and grandfather.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Thursday November 10, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday November 11, 2022 at 11 am with Pastor Dennis Michael officiating.

Burial will follow at Cooks Mill Cemetery, Hyndman.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
