Obituary

Hyndman, PA – Helen Deloris (Dee) Emerick, 86, of Hyndman went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 3, 2024, at UPMC Western Maryland.
Born July 6, 1938, in southern Bedford County near Flinstone, MD; she was a daughter of the late James Elmer and Sylvia O. Mallow. Also preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Clyde Emerick; brother, Terrell Mallow; and sister, Catherine Leese.
Survived by a sister Martha Rorabaugh of New Port Ritchey, FL; sons, Lorin Emerick and wife Patricia, Kris Emerick and wife Brigette all of Hyndman; grandchildren, Zach Emerick and wife Emily, Ernie Emerick and fiancée Natosha Casner, Bryce Emerick and wife Anne and Ethan Emerick; special family friend, Robert Weyant and his family of Salisbury, MD; and several nieces and nephews.
Deloris was a member of Faith Community Church, where she sang in the choir and assisted in the Sunday School. She retired from the Kelly Springfield Tire Company. She was a graduate of Hyndman High School and attended the Cathermine’s Business School in Cumberland.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Faith Community Church, 287 Faith Church Rd., Hyndman on Saturday August 17, 2024, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Terry Campbell officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be private at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hyndman Rescue Squad or Faith Community Church.
