Corriganville, MD – Helen E. Blank, 95, formerly of Corriganville passed away January 8, 2023 at Sterling Care Frostburg Village.

Born December 6, 1927 in Granville, WV; she was a daughter of the late William J. and Irene (McCleary) Morgan. She was also preceded in death by husbands, James H. Shaffer and Gerald W. Blank; a son, Kenny Shaffer, brothers, James, Donald and Robert Morgan; sister, Pauline Nestor Dumire.

Survived by a daughter, Barbara A. Emerick, four grandchildren, James R. Shaffer and wife Linda, Winchester, VA, Keith E. Shaffer and wife Molly, Beverly, WV, Jamie M. Emerick and wife Sonia, Riverview, FL. Jason L. Emerick, Hyndman; sister-in-law, Delores Morgan, Palm Bay, FL and her children, Deb, don and Denise; 8 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.

Helen was a member of the Mt. Savage Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She also played cards in a club every Tuesday night for over 30 years.

Their will be no viewing. Services will be held at a later date.

Burial at Rocky Gap State Veterans Cemetery.
