Ellerslie, MD -Ina Fay McCloud Canada, 89, Ellerslie, went to be with the Lord Thursday April 7, 2016 at Golden Living, Cumberland.

Born January 22, 1927 in Patterson Creek, WV; she was a daughter of Bernice (Rohrbaugh) DeVore. She was preceded in death by her mother and step father, Ernest E. DeVore; husbands, Eugene F. McCloud in 1981 and Perry F. Canada in 1999.

Ina spent most of her entire life in the Ellerslie area. She was a member of the Ellerslie United Methodist Church where she was active as a Sunday School teacher, an MYF leader, and was involved in the Woman’s Fellowship. She and Mary Ellen Shoryer were instrumental in starting the Vocational Bible School Program in Ellerslie.

Ina and her first husband Eugene McCloud established the Valley View Heights housing development in Neffsville, PA. The housing development prospers today because of their commitment and dedication to the residents and to the land.

She earned an Associate’s Degree from Allegany Community College. Had an interest in antiques and crafts.

She was the last surviving member of her family

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Sandy Hetz Burchell officiating

Burial will follow at Cooks Mill Cemetery.
