Irene J. (Burkholder) Atwell Hite, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 21, 2021.

Born January 26,1921 in Garrett, PA. She was the daughter of Lawrence and Ollie (Johnson) Burkholder.

Irene was preceded in death by husbands, Victor B. Atwell and Clarence Clifford Hite; sister, Marie Catherman and brother, Gene Burkholder; son-in-laws, Harry Hyde, Lloyd Holler and Troy Arbogast; grandsons, Kevin Holler and Scott Hyde.

She is survived by daughters; Rita Holler, Kay Hyde, and Gail Arbogast. Also a step-daughter, Linda Kohut wife of Jay Kohut. Grandchildren, L. Victor Holler, David Holler, Kent Holler, Annette Devore, Cynthia Hyde, Michele John, Robert Hyde, Mark Hyde and Zachary Hyde; great grandchildren; Kammi Kirchner, Kurtis Holler, Andrew Gardelle, Nicole Gardelle, Samantha Shroyer, Sarah Shroyer and Jonathon Shroyer; great- great grandchildren; Bryce Gardelle, Ian Gardelle, Claire Gardelle and Peyton Andrea Gardelle.

Irene was a graduate of Meyersdale High School, Cambria Rowe Business College and Cornerstone Bible Institute.

She loved to go on bus trips and tours but was always glad to get home to be with her family and friends and to take care of her flowers and her garden.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Saturday March 27, 2021 from 10 to 11 a.m. where a funeral will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Terry Campbell officiating.

Burial will follow Hyndman Cemetery.
