Mount Savage, MD – Irene N. Burkett Bunner, 101, of Mount Savage passed away November 30, 2022

Born August 25, 1921 in Hyndman; she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Ada (Deneen) Emerick. Also preceded in death by husbands, Walter Burkett in 1969 and Andrew Bunner in 1996; brothers, Earl and Thomas Emerick; stepson, Gerald Burkett; stepdaughter, Joyce Humberston

Survived by children, Roger Burkett and wife Diana, Gary Burkett and wife Sabrina, all of Beggs, OK; D. Jean Scaife Emerick of Buffalo Mills, Betty Collins of Cresaptown, Edna Lee Dom and husband John of Mount Savage, whom she resided with; 27 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 17 great-great grandchildren and 3 great-great-great grandchildren. She was the 6th generation for her family.

She was a member of Comps Church. She loved gospel and old country music.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Saturday December 3, 2022 from ­­­­­­­­­­7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday December 4, 2022 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Stevie Leydig officiating. Viewing one hour prior.

Burial will be private at Madley Cemetery, Buffalo Mills.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made Hyndman Rescue Squad.
