James R. Lowery, 78, of Hyndman passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024, at UPMC Western Maryland.

Born June 10, 1945, in Cumberland, MD; he was the son of the late Annabelle Lowery. He was also proceeded in death by his wife, Joan M. Lowery; a grandson, Cody L. Chaney: aunt, Pauline Lowery and a special family member Melissa L. Suder.

He is survived by sons, Roger A. Lowery and wife Teressa, Brian S. Lowery; and daughter, Sherry A. Chaney and boyfriend, Brian Murray. Also survived by grandchildren, Danielle N. Boleware and husband Jeff, Tara M. Chaney and Kyle L. Chaney; great grandson, Hudson J. Boleware and Baby Boleware on the way.

Jim retired from PPG Paint & Glass, Pittsburgh. He loved doing woodworking when he retired. He enjoyed going to the races, watching Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. He was a proud father and grandfather. “Dad you were loved by us all and you will be missed by many. You made an everlasting impression to many.” You will be missed.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman Monday January 29, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.; where a service will follow at 12 p.m. with Pastor Terry Campbell, officiating.

Burial will follow at Palo Alto Hilltop Cemetery
