James U. “Jim” Lafferty, 75, of Buffalo Mills went to be with the Lord Thursday October 5, 2023 at UPMC Altoona.

Born September 4, 1948 in Buffalo Mills; he was a son of the late Forrest and Ethel (Campbell) Lafferty. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lafferty.

Survived by brother, Gary Lafferty and wife Vicky of Hyndman; sisters, Barbara Ferguson of Hanover, Bonnie Bisbing and husband Freddie Jr. of Manns Choice, adopted son, Mike Lafferty, stepson, Danny Marker; many loving nieces and nephews, including Rodney and Bridget Bisbing, whom he lived with.

Jim was a powerline tree trimmer for B & L Tree Service. He was a member of Buffalo Rod & Gun Club, Kennells Mill Sportsmens Club, New Baltimore Sportsmens Club. He enjoyed the outdoors, loved working on the farm and driving tractors. His nieces and nephews will remember all the fun times they had with him.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman Tuesday October 10, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., where a funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Terry Campbell officiating.

Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
