Obituary

Hyndman, PA – Janet (Arnold) Deneen, 84, of Hyndman went to be with the Lord Thursday December 13, 2018 at the home of her daughter Joyce.
Born August 28, 1934 in Fossilville, PA; she was a daughter of the late John “Frank” and Mae E. (Ranker) Arnold.  She was also preceded in death by her husband Richard “Dick” Deneen in 2006; sister, Doris Shippey and brother, Dalton Arnold.
She is survived by daughters, Joyce Shaffer and husband Robert, Judy Shaffer and husband Stuart all of Hyndman, Sandy Ryan and husband Buck of Manchester, Kentucky; sons, Richard Deneen and spouse Butch Regala of Hollidaysburg, Michael Deneen of Gallitzin; eight grandchildren, Heather, Holly, Amanda, Craig, Levi, Destiny, Alyssa and Brady; 16 great grandchildren, Kerstin, Katelyn, Dylan, Owen, Hayden, Hudson, Luke, Aria, Rylyn, Lane, Landyn, Aleeah, Jaxson, Jayce, Logan and Callum; brothers, James Arnold and wife Carolyn of Bedford, Ray Arnold and wife Robin of Bedford, sisters, Nancy Kennell and husband Allen of Bedford, Karen Gearhart widow of Dale of Hollidaysburg, Patty Griffith of Bedford and Linda Christman widow of Mark of Chambersburg and many nieces and nephews.
Janet was a charter member of the Wills Mountain Church of Christ. She worked at local grocery stores, Lions Manufacturing, Penn Manor Motel and retired from the Fruit Bowl in Cumberland after 32 years.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Sunday from 1 to 3 pm. A funeral service will follow at 3pm with the Evangelist Harry T. “Buck” Ryan officiating.
Burial will follow at Madley Cemetery, Buffalo Mills, PA
