Barrelville, MD – Janice Lee Harden, 77, of Barrelville, passed away Friday February 12, 2016, at her home.

Born on January 1, 1939, in Frostburg, MD, she was a daughter of the late William Sr. and Geraldine (Reed) Bridges. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. “Hoon” Harden; a brother, William Bridges Jr; sisters, Cindy Sturtz and Marlene Bridges.

She is survived by three daughters, Tammy Henderson and husband Gary, Melissa Banks and husband Chris and Jessica Summers and husband Royal; eight grandchildren, Heidi, Ralph, Kirsten, Kaitlyn, Kortney, Jayden, Darius and Kandice; three great grandchildren, Dyllan, Larrkel,  Haylee; a sister, Paulette Weimer and husband Russell; several nieces and nephews; and her faithful dog, Boonie.

Janice worked for Frederick County Parks and Recreation in Winchester, VA in the before and after school programs.

She was a member of the Kennells Mill Sportsman’s Club, she sang with the Lady Birds and enjoyed being outdoors, working in the yard.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman, PA on Wednesday February 17th from 10 to 11 a.m. where a funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor James Glass officiating.

Burial will follow at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery.
