Hyndman PA- Jeffrey A. Emerick, 60 of Hyndman passed away January 25, 2018.

Born November 28, 1957 in Cumberland, MD; he was a son of the late Kenneth and Betty Lou (Kennard) Emerick. He was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Janice Lee Emerick.

Survived by his wife 37 years, Tammy (Thomas) Emerick, whom he married August 10, 1980; daughters, Tessa Stahlman and husband Kurt of Hyndman; Tara Robison and husband Kevin of Frostburg; granddaughters, Tristan, Riley, Bailey and Kendal Stahlman and Taylor Robison; father and mother-in-law, Gerald and Violet Thomas of Hyndman; sisters and brothers, Marsha Johnson and husband Donald of Joint Base Andrews, MD, Ronald Emerick and wife Cheri of Hyndman, Carolyn Lewis, Barbara Reed, Susan Lee, David Emerick, brother-in-law, Jeff Thomas and wife Candy; sisters-in-law, Cathy Bingman and husband Ed, Mary Sisk and special friend Fred Evans all of Hyndman; and many nieces and nephews; and his furry friends, Abby and Beau.

Jeff was part owner / operator of Emerick’s Meats for 43 years. He was a member of the Kennells Mill Sportsman’s Club and the PA Farm Bureau. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed the Grantsville Stockyards and was involved in the 4-H Sales in the Tri-state Area. He played slow pitch softball for 34 years and enjoyed keeping his yard manicured. Of all things, he was most proud of all his girls.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at Calvary Bible Church, S. Gardner Ave., Ellerslie, MD, on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastors Greg Miller and Ken Korns officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Palo Alto Hilltop Cemetery.
