Hyndman, PA – Jeffrey Paul Silverman, 62, of Hyndman passed away Monday March 9, 2020 at his residence.

Born July 29, 1957 in Freeport, Long Island, New York; he was a son of the late Martin and Trudie (Denenburg) Silverman.

Survived by his wife Angela (Hess) Silverman of Hyndman, children, Joshua Silverman, TX, Matthew Silverman, TX, Martin Silverman, Somerset, Jaleen Knopsnider and husband Caleb, Somerset, Amanda Housel, Somerset, Amber Housel and fiancé Brandon Dunmeyer, Somerset, Brianna Brown and husband Tyler, Somerset, Christy Jordan and husband Shaun, Lancaster, William Wright and Hannah, TN, Jimmy Wright and wife Ashley, PA; brother Richard Silverman and wife Susan, FL, sister, Barbara Scott-Silverman, FL and and Aunt Natalie Gorlick, FL; grandchildren, Michael and Cassie Raley, Kayden and MaKenna Housel, Ava Housel, Hunter Brown, Ezra and Ellis Jordan, Emily, Caty, Seamus and Payton Wright, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jeff served in the US Air Force. He worked as a chef at Bedford Springs. He enjoyed cooking, eating, Star Trek, MASH, Beatles music, and going to auctions. He toured with The Grateful Dead as their cook in the 70s. Jeff loved being with his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. with a celebration of life at 4 p.m.

Memorial donation may be made to the funeral home to help defer funeral expensed for the family.
