Wellersburg, PA – Jessie C. Robinette, 92, of Wellersburg passed away Tuesday February 11, 2020, at Goodwill Retirement Community, Grantsville

Born August 30. 1927, in Cumberland, MD; she was a daughter of the late Albert and Lucy (Frankenberry) Rice. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Charles Robinette, brothers, Albert (Maxine) Rice Jr., Clarence (Harriett) Rice; sisters, Lillian (William “Scotchy”) Adams, Helen (John “Hooper”) Smith;   brothers-in-laws, Ronald Neil Robinette, who was killed in action during WWII, Robert Cessna and Calvin Dietz; daughter-in-law, Jean Ann (Keel) Robinette.

Survived by sons, Neil and Gary Robinette of Wellersburg; a brother-in-law, Larry Robinette and wife, Phyllis of Shelby, OH; sisters-in-laws, Lois Cessna and Alice Dietz both of Glencoe; several nieces and nephews and their families.

Mrs. Robinette was a member of the Mt. Harmony United Methodist Church in Wellersburg, the Wellersburg Volunteer Fire Hall Ladies Auxiliary, PTA, was active in the Cub Scouts, and was a swimming instructor. She enjoyed puzzles, playing family games, tending to her flowers, feeding the wildlife and watching the deer behind the house. She also loved her dog Pepper and cat “Stinky”.

Jessie had a loving heart and always put others first. She was a loving wife and mother. Family and friends will remember her cheerfulness, respectful manner, giving heart, and her beautiful red hair.

She enjoyed traveling with Charlie and took a special anniversary trip to Hawaii. She often went out for special Sunday and Holiday dinners and enjoyed family meals and get togethers where she would bring her special recipe potato salad and cakes.  They also enjoyed taking many walks together “out the lane” near their home.

At the request of the deceased, she will be cremated.

There will be no viewing and services will be private at the convenience of the family.
