Hyndman, PA – Jimmy T. Elliott, 86 of Hyndman, PA went to be with his Lord on June 11, 2020 at his home in Hyndman, PA. with his loving family by his side.

Born on April 17,1934, he was the son of the late Walter Leroy and Margaret Leona (Albright) Elliott. On September 4,1954 he married the love of his life Evelyn R. (Burkett) Elliott who survives at home.

Jimmy retired from working as a service technician for Sears Roebuck for 25 years. After retiring from Sears at an early age, he drove school bus for the Hyndman area schools and drove for numerous athletic trips. He loved fishing, hunting, stock car races and spending time with his family.

Along with his wife of 65 years, Jimmy is survived by three children: LuAnn (Elliott) Karper and husband James of Carlisle, PA., Terry Lynn Elliott and wife Debbie (Emerick) Elliott of Hyndman, PA. and Sarah Jane (Elliott) Mellott and her husband Greggory Sr. of Shippensburg, PA.   He is survived by 5 grandchildren: Kristina Hoagland and spouse Scott Gotthard of Mt. Holly Springs, PA, Nathan Elliott and wife April of Bedford, PA, Greggory Mellott II and wife Katrina of Avondale, PA, Jennifer Wall and husband Ryan of East Berlin, PA, Aaron Elliott and wife Jessica of Davidsville, PA and 10 great-grandchildren (Jordan, Kenneth, Kylee, Kendall, Asher, Addison, Austin, Jeremiah, Aaliyah and Jonah, two step great¬grandchildren (Rachel and Paris) and an older sister Mona Lee Lafferty of Buffalo Mills, PA.

Jimmy was a member of the Central Christian Church on Clarence Street, Hyndman.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Church listed above but mailed to the Church Treasurer Kelly Carnell, 579 Hogback Road, Hyndman, PA 15545 or to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, Attn: Mary, 5051 Letterkenny Rd W, Chambersburg, PA 17201 where he got his current dog “Missy” whom he loved dearly.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Monday from 11 to 1 p.m. where a funeral service will follow at 1 p.m.

Officiating the service will be his son Reverend Terry Elliott pastor of Central Christian Church and grandson Reverend Nathan Elliott pastor of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Hyndman.
