Hyndman, PA – Joan J. Sager, 83, of Hyndman went to be with the Lord Sunday April 21, 2019 at Pennknoll Village.

Born January 3, 1936, in Wellersburg, PA; she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Dorothy Blank. She was also preceded in death by a son, Rodney Sager, sisters, Diane DeHaven, Evelyn Stott;  brothers, Dale and Gary Blank.

Survived by her husband of 63 years, Earl “Joe” Sager, whom she married May 28, 1955; daughters, Rhonda Shaffer and husband Mark, Hyndman; Michele Rivera and husband Juan Carlos, Alexandria, VA, Renee` Dawson and Husband John, Manassas Park, VA, a sister, Norma Middleton, Frostburg; brothers, Les Blank, Hyndman, Dwayne Blank, Wellersburg, David Blank, Frostburg, six grandchildren, Keith Sager, Cheree Blacker, Jessica Pencil, Robin Lashley, Hayden Dawson, Yoi Rivera; eight great grandchildren, Julianne, Sarah, Olivia, JJ, Everett, Alexandra, Gia, and Nataleh.

Joan was a member of Calvary Bible Church, Ellerslie. She had worked at the Celanese. She owned and operated a catering business as well as the Country Castle Snack Bar, Clinebells Bakery in LaVale and Spiffy Sparkles.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on  Wednesday From 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at Calvary Bible Church, 13901S Gardner St, Ellerslie on Thursday at 2 p.m. with Pastors Greg Miller and Ken Korn officiating. Visitation one hour prior to the service
