John L. Beckner
New Buena Vista, PA John L. Beckner, 85, of New Buena Vista died Friday June 20, 2014 at Pennknoll Village.
Born Jan 8, 1929 in Somerset County a son of the late Aca and Rebecca Jane (Butler) Beckner. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte (Montgomery) Beckner. ; brothers, Aca “Junior” , Richard, Blaine, Gary, and Jack Beckner, and a sister, Jo Ann.
Survived by sons, Steve Beckner and wife Dawn of Westernport, MD, Tom Beckner and wife Darlene of Boswell, Ron Beckner and wife Brenda of Boswell, daughters, Lu Ann Watkins and friend Dave Brant of Stoystown and Mary Jane Restly and husband Joe of new Baltimore; ten grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren
Mr. Beckner served in the US Army. He was the owner of Beckner Lumber for many years.
There will be no viewing.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
