Hyndman, PA – Karen (Bashang) Hite, 64, of Hyndman passed away Saturday May 16, 2020 at her home surrounded by family.
Born April 5, 1956 in Cincinnati, OH; she was a daughter of the late Jack and Betty (Dunn) Bashang. She was also preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Hite; brother, Michael Bashang.
Survived by her children, Kevin Hite and wife Sarah of Brambleton, VA Maria Hite and wife Olivia Hartman of Frostburg, MD; grandchildren, Lucas and Lucy Hite of Brambleton, VA; sister Kim Francis and husband Gary of Powell, OH, sisters-in-law, Beverly Johnson and husband Keith of Ellerslie, MD; Diane Riggin and husband Tim of Shrewsbury, PA; brother-in-law, Roger Hite of Ellerslie, MD.
Karen attended Frostburg State University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in science. Karen played many musical instruments and was a member of the Collegium Musicum while attending FSU. Karen was a Registered Nurse at Western Maryland Hospital and worked in home healthcare for many years. Karen was also a substitute science teacher. Karen was a member of Cooks Mills United Methodist Church and served as a Lay Speaker. Karen had a strong faith and deep love of Christ. She witnessed to many people throughout her life.
Graveside service will be held July 9, 2022 at 1 pm at Cooks Mills Cemetery on Cooks Mills Road, Hyndman, PA with Rev. Dr. Tomislav Dosch officiating
