Wellersburg, PA – L. Marie Smith, 104, went to be with the Lord on Saturday January 9, 2016 at Transitions Health Care in Irwin, PA

Born September 17, 1911 in Petersburg, WV; she was a daughter of the late William and Maggie (Rodgers) Markwood; she was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy W. Smith; brothers, James, George, Rumsey Markwood, and a son-in-law, Harry Hosslerode.

She is survived daughter, Iva Lou Bittner and husband Paul of North Huntingdon, Judy Hosslerode of Hyndman, 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Marie was a member of the Wellersburg United Methodist Church.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ken Korns officiating.

Burial will follow Cooks Cemetery, Hyndman PA

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cooks Cemetery Association.
