Hyndman, PA – Laura E. “Sis” Shaffer, 73, of Hyndman went to be with the Lord Sunday January 22, 2023 at home surrounded by her family.

Born July 22, 1949 in Cumberland; she was a daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy (Elbin) Campbell.

Survived by her husband 43 years, Lawrence E. Shaffer, whom she married, December 8, 1979; daughters, Anne Wilburn and husband Donald, Mt. Savage, Ruth Deneen and husband Steve, Hyndman, grandchildren, Logan and Jaylynn Deneen, Haleigh Dwire and husband Justin, Mikaela Deneen; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Vanessa Shaffer and husband Ronald, Faith Price and husband Donald, Gay Twigg and husband James, Irma Miller and husband Paul, Nancy Lafferty and husband Dale; brothers, Robert Campbell and wife Alice, William Campbell and wife Diane, Fred Campbell and wife Jennifer; and many nieces and nephews.

Laura was a 1967 graduate of Bedford High School. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and spending time with her family.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home Friday, January 27, 2023 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Rodney Spiker officiating. Viewing one hour prior.

Burial will follow at Hyndman Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 222 Schellsburg St., Hyndman PA 15545.
