Linda D. Williams, 76, of Winchester, VA, formerly of Hyndman; passed away Friday August 4, 2023 at the home of her son, Jim.

Born May 5, 1947 in Erie, PA; she was a daughter of the late Howard and Helen (Copen) Darr. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Annabelle Ford.

Survived by her husband of 51 years, James D. Williams Jr; son, James D. Williams III and wife Lisa of Fort Ashby, daughter, Jayme D. Miles and husband David of Winchester, VA; granddaughters, Amy Markel and Cali Williams; a great granddaughter, Elyse Markel; brother, Howard Darr and wife Diane of Ohio; several nieces and nephews, including special nephew, John Sherrill and wife Melissa.

Linda graduated from Edinboro University and was a schoolteacher at the Bedford and Hyndman Schools. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church. She was a proud Nana and very involved with Amy, Cali and Elyse.

A memorial service will be held at First Avenue United Methodist Church, 183 First Ave., Hyndman, PA  Thursday August 10, 2023 at 11 a.m.  with Pastor Rodney Spiker officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hyndman Volunteer Fire Department or the Hyndman Rescue Squad.
