Buffalo Mills, PA – Lois L. Bower, 82, died Friday December 1, 2017 at UPMC Bedford.

Born April 13, 1935, in Hyndman; she was a daughter of the late Edgar and Martha (Zebley) Carpenter. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Jack E. Bower; a son, Edward Bower, and sister, Mary Smith.

Survived by a son, William Bower of Glendale, AZ; daughters, Karen Thompson and husband Glenn of Hyndman, Cheryl Morgan and husband William of Manns Choice; daughter-in-law, Robyn Bower of Glendale, AZ; sister, Ruth Ann Smith of Cleveland, OH; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Lois was very generous, and she enjoyed baking, cooking, family gatherings and silly tee shirts. She sang, played the piano and volunteered at nursing homes. She also enjoyed her Saturday Breakfast Gang at Hobos.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Monday December 4, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
