Cumberland, MD – Lynn Kelly Winters Sr., 81, of Cumberland went to be with the Lord Tuesday June 13, 2017 at Frostburg Nursing and Rehab Center

Born May 27, 1936 in Cumberland, MD; he was a son of the late George and Marguerite (Temke) Winters. He was also preceded in death his birth father, William Minerd Jr.; brothers, George “Fred” Winters, and William Minerd.

Survived by his wife of 59 years; Mary Louise (Golden) Winters; whom he married March 8, 1958; a son, Lynn “Kelly” Winters Jr. and wife Melanie of Highlands Ranch, CO; a daughter, Karen Glass and husband Roger of Berkley Springs, WV; four grandchildren,  Justin and Jared Glass, Matthew and Lauren Winters, brothers, William Winters of VA, Timothy, James and Jon Minerd of NY, Ron Minerd of FL; sister, Jane Grosklos of NY and Kathy Consler of NC and many nieces and nephews.

He served in the US Air Force from 1954 to 1957.

Lynn was a lineman for the Potomac Edison Power Company. In 1992 he received the Gatekeeper Award from the State of Maryland, Office on Aging. He enjoyed traveling, old rail road steam engines and mall walking.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Burial at Madley Cemetery, Buffalo Mills, PA.
