Obituary

Hyndman, PA – Mabel M. Burkett, 94 of Hyndman went to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday November 17, 2014 at WMHS Regional Medical Center.
Born February 29, 1920 in Hyndman; she was a daughter of the late Fred and Stella (Deneen) Campbell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, David Burkett; a brother, Robert Campbell and a sister, Ethel Lafferty.
Survived by children, Robert Burkett and wife Norma of Hyndman; Wayne Burkett and wife Shirley of Fossilville, Sharon Kiser of Hyndman, John Burkett and wife Christine of Bedford, Beverly Huffman and husband Newt of Hyndman; Ray Burkett and wife Jeanna of Buffalo Mills, Jimmie Burkett of Hyndman, sisters, Elizabeth Stuby of Meyersdale, Dorothy Turner, Rosalee Stahlman, Mildred Miller, brothers, Glenn Campbell, Clyde Campbell, Earl Campbell and Donald Campbell all of Hyndman; 18 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Burkett was a faithful member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Hyndman. She enjoyed taking care of her family, reading her bible and gardening.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Nathan Elliott officiating.
Burial will follow at Hyndman Cemetery. Scot and Michael Huffman, Jason, David, Chad and Robert Burkett will serve as pallbearers.
