Obituary

Hyndman, PA – Margaret J. “Margie” Shaffer 85 of Hyndman went to be with the Lord Sunday February 14, 2016 at the home of her son, Howard.
She was born May 26, 1930 in Bedford; she was a daughter of the late Harold E. and Verna M. (Shaffer) Thomas. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard “June” Shaffer in 2001.
She is survived by sons, Howard Shaffer III and wife Nancy of Mont Alto, James “Jim” Shaffer of Hyndman; a daughter, Susan Shaffer of Hyndman; a brother, James Thomas of Hyndman, sisters, Sandy Crump of Corriganville, Carolyn Burkhart of Barberton, OH; nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Margie was a beautician in Hyndman for 22 years. She also worked as Sears and Harvey Zeigler Funeral Home. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
Friends will be received at the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7139 Hyndman Rd, Buffalo Mills on Thursday February 18th  from 2 to 3 p.m. where a funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with The Rev. Ryan K. Viands officiating.
Burial at Hyndman Cemetery.
