Hyndman, PA – Marilyn S. Kennell, 94, of Hyndman passed away Sunday April 28, 2024, at Peace Healthcare Frostburg.

Born June 23, 1929, in Hyndman; a daughter of the late Emma (Landis) Stallings Deal and husband Daniel “Barney” Deal. Also preceded in death by her husband Leroy “Booty” Kennell, a daughter, Tammy “TK” Kennell, son-in-law, Chris Buchanan, brothers, Edgar, Robert, Roy, and Leslie Stallings; sisters Sylvia Stallings, Jane Mertens, and Betty Iames.

Survived by her children, Kim Buchanan of Hyndman, Dan Kennell and wife Carrol of Stringstown, Sherry Ritchey and husband Bill of Hyndman; grandchildren, Eric and Justin Ritchey and wife Angie, Casey Kennell, Danielle Kennell, Dana Kinner and husband Jeff,  Shana Dawson and husband Adam, Dustin Shoemaker, Heather Swemba and husband Scott; great-grandchildren, Alexis and Alyssah Ritchey, Kendall and Kane Kennell, Madison Poland, Jacob, Nicholas and Conner Dawson, Maddix and Gennin Shoemaker, Alayna and Isaac Kinner, Parker and Daphne Swemba; a great-great grandson, Gabriel.

Marilyn was a receptionist for Dr. Iames. She also cleaned Hoblitzell National Bank with her husband for many years. She was a member of Cooks Mills Global Methodist Church and the Ellerslie Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed working hard, taking care of others, playing Bingo and cards.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence St., Hyndman, on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. with the Pastor Leona Logan officiating.

Burial will follow at Cooks Mills Cemetery.
