Marybelle Elaine (Kennell) White, 93, passed peacefully at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center on Thursday March 10, 2016 after succumbing to multiple medical issues.

She was born in 1922 at Comps in Somerset County, daughter of the late Roy and Naomi (Emerick) Kennell. She was one of eleven sibling. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Norman (Tooty) White of Wiley Ford, WV; a son, Baron Michael “Mike” White; granddaughter, Susan Kay Williams; great grandson, Martin Alan Williams and several brother and sisters.

She is survived by daughters, Judith “Judy” Holbrook and husband James, who providing full time care for the last 15 years; Sandra “Sonnie” Williams and husband Don of Fairfax, VA; sisters, Marian “Toody” Romesberg of Meyersdale; Frances Troutman of Kennells Mill; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. She will be missed by so many.

God blessed her with a long life, and was the oldest female living in Kennells Mill. She lived a very active life working 40 years outside the home, she retired from Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, flower beds, and her many cats. She always took time to befriend a familiar face.

Friends will be received at Comps Church, Southampton Twp, Hyndman, PA Saturday from 1:30 to 3 p.m., where a funeral service will follow at 3pm with Pastor Roger Huffman officiating.

Interment at Comps Cemetery.
