Mervin R. Emerick, 87,of Buffalo Mills, passed away Thursday July 30, 2020, at UPMC Altoona.

Born October 22, 1932 in Glen Savage, PA; he was a son of the late Roy and Belma (Baer) Emerick; he was also preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Jean (Logsdon) Emerick in 2002; and a daughter-in-law, Lisa (Evans) Emerick.

Survived by a son, Steven Emerick Sr, grandchildren, Kelly Carnell and husband Troy; Steven Jr. and wife Chelsea all of Hyndman, great grandchildren, Kaylee and Grayson Harshberger; step great grandchildren, TJ, Emily, Shania and Lucas Carnell; sisters, Dorothy McCoy and husband John of Hyndman, Susan Larson and husband Ron of McConnellsburg, brothers, Glenn Emerick, and Manford Emerick and wife Wilda both of Hyndman and many nieces and nephews.

Mervin was a logger with Houseworth Lumber and a lifelong farmer. He served in the US Army during Korea.

Due to the current Covid-19 Pandemic the family will conduct the funeral service privately.

Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Fairhope, PA
