Hyndman, PA – Norma J. Burkett, 83, of Hyndman went to be with the Lord Saturday January 21, 2023 at Pennknoll Village.

Born August 18, 1939 in Cumberland; she was a daughter of the late George and Mary Elizabeth (Ritchey) Smith.  Also preceded in death by her husband Robert S. Burkett, sisters, Georgie Russell, Ruth Kroll; brother, John Smith.

Survived by a son, Robert David Burkett and Sarah Jones of Cresaptown; daughters, Mary Marie Yorke and husband Michael, Christine Loraine Snyder and husband Robert Sr both of Hyndman; grandchildren, Shauna Burkett, Shelby Burkett, Jessica Minnick and husband Travis, Sarah Jarrett and husband Kristopher, Kayla Jarrett and husband John, Cody Murray, Elizabeth Snyder, Robby Snyder and Daniel Snyder; great grandchildren, Kamden, Kallen, Tristan, Austin, Kyleigh, Braelynn, Ella, Ezra, Macy, Delayne and Kacyn; sister, Laura Bowers and husband Wes of Mt. Savage; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Burkett was a homemaker and enjoyed and loved her family. She was a former member of Glad Tidings Church.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Wednesday January 25, 2023 from 12 to 2 p.m. where a funeral service will follow at 2 pm with Pastor Terry Campbell officiating.

Burial will follow at Hyndman Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help the family defer the cost.
