Buffalo Mills, PA – Oscar B. Waugerman, 94, of Buffalo Mills, went to be with the Lord, Thursday May 5, 2022.

Born May 31, 1927, in Buffalo Mills, he was a son of the late Oscar Benjamin and Maude Louise (Holler) Waugerman. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Stella (Turner) Waugerman in 2018; an infant daughter, Cynthia Waugerman; brothers, Dalton “Buck”, Roy, and Harry Waugerman; sisters, Olive Waugerman, Leona Hyde, Clara Leydig, Amanda Shroyer, and Inda Logue.

Survived by daughters, Carle Pensyl and husband Lynn of Hyndman, Joni Bussard and husband Leland of Corriganville; a son, Eddy Waugerman and wife Bonnie of Buffalo Mills; 7 grandchildren, Dr. Ryan Pensyl and wife Sharee, Tyler Pensyl and wife Julia, Travis Bussard and wife Erin, Justin Bussard and wife Sarah, Brandon Bussard and wife Lauren, Ashley Magruder and husband Dalton, and Lucas Waugerman and fiancée McKayla Hankinson; 6 great grandchildren, Gabriel, Madison, Isaac, Isla, Aria and Chase; a sister, Marian Bohn of Buffalo Mills.

As a young man he worked with his father as a Sawyer and made windows for homes. They made the porch railing and windows for White Sulphur Springs. He worked at the Kelly Springfield Tire Company for 32 years and was an active member of Trinity United Church of Christ, where he held offices of Elder, Deacon and treasurer of Dry Ridge Cemetery Association.  He was a member of the NRA, enjoyed the outdoors, was an avid hunter, gardener and fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers. He had a vivid memory for names, dates, and events and could recite poems and scripture. He had a clever mind and sharp wit. He was a wonderful father and grandfather and a loving example of leading by Christian values. He will be greatly missed.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Wednesday May 11, 2022 from 6 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday May 12, 2022 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jim Jeff Jeffries officiating. Viewing one hour prior.

Burial will follow at Dry Ridge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made Trinity United Church of Christ.
