Phyllis L. Leydig, 93, of North Huntingdon, Pa., went to be with the Lord Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021, at Westmoreland Hospital.

Born Aug. 16, 1928, in Hyndman, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Elsie (Middleton) Minnick and husband Homer Minnick.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Leydig, and a son, Scot Leydig.

She is survived by her children, who were her life, Rick Leydig, North Huntingdon; Gary Leydig, Kentucky; Larry Leydig and wife, Diane, Florida; Iris Stewart and husband, Joseph Jr., North Huntingdon; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

For many years, Phyllis worked at Denny’s Restaurant training cooks. She enjoyed spending time with her family and collecting penguins.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman, on Wednesday, Dec. 8, from 10 to 11 a.m. where a funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Greg Miller officiating.

Burial will follow at Lybarger Cemetery, Buffalo Mills.
