Obituary

Hyndman, PA – Ray C. Martz, 82, of Hyndman went to be with the Lord Friday December 16, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.
Born May 22, 1934 in Cumberland, MD; he was a son of the late Ellsworth and Phyllis (Cutler) Martz.
Survived by his wife of 60 years, Audrey (DeLozier) Martz; sons, Craig Martz and wife Peggy of Lewisburg, WV, Fred Martz, and Scott Martz and wife Sheri; grandsons, Dylan and Blake Martz; brothers, Dale Martz and wife Louise, Paul Martz and wife Winifred all of Hyndman; many nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Emma and nephews Alex and Ben who Ray thought of as grandchildren.
Ray was a truck driver and retired from UPS after 20 plus years of service. He was a member of the Palo Alto United Methodist Church, where he served as a Trustee, managed the Palo Alto Softball team and would fire the potbelly stove at the church on Sunday. He was a member Hyndman Masonic Lodge #589 F&AM and the Mack-a-Million Mile Truck Club.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 am with Rev. Kenneth Haines and Ethel Stevanus officiating
Burial will follow at Palo Alto Hilltop Cemetery
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Palo Alto United Methodist Church
