Ellerslie, MD – Richard Dale “Bearskin” See, 87 of Ellerslie MD passed away Friday October 3, 2014 at WMHS Regional Medical Center.

Born January 13, 1927 in Cumberland; he was a son of the late Grover and Pearl (Scritchfield) See. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Lee (Printy) See; a brother, Franklin See; and a sister, Olive June Schroyer

Survived by a son, Doug See, a daughter, Debbie Logue and husband, Greg, all of Ellerslie, grandchildren, Nicholas, Jordan, and Evan Logue, Ellerslie, brothers, Robert See, of Ellerslie, Fred See and wife Faye of Leesburg, VA; sisters, Nancy Waugerman and husband George of Osterburg, PA, Julia McFarland and husband Harold of Short Gap, WV; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. See was a US Army Veteran.  He had worked at ABL and PPG. He retired from car department at CSX Railroad. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting. He was a founding member of the Ellerslie Outdoor Club. He was also a member of the Kennells Mill Sportsmen’s Club, Barrellville Outdoor Club, and the Piney Mountain Sportsmen’s Club.

He loved spending time afield with his son and grandsons, and he handed down his passion and knowledge of hunting to them. He enjoyed yard work and attending his grandson’s various sporting events.  During baseball season he put down whatever he was doing at 7pm so he could enjoy watching the Baltimore Orioles play.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11a.m. with Rev. Rick Riley, officiating

Burial will follow at Madley Cemetery, Buffalo Mills, PA.

Doug and Debbie would like to thank Aunt Julia and Uncle Harold for all of the care and support they gave Dale in the years since Nancy passed away. They would also express their appreciation to Dr. James Moen for the exceptional services he provided.
