Buffalo Mills, PA – Robert E. Rieker, 79, of Buffalo Mills, passed away March 1, 2022 at his home.

Born February 16, 1943 in Lancaster, PA; he was a son of the late Earl Charles and Harriet Meda (Westman) Rieker. He is also preceded in death by a stepson, Michael Newman Jr.

Survived by his wife, Lauretta Jones Rieker; daughters, Stacy Franklin and husband Michael of Buffalo Mills, Erika Rieker and husband Jeffery Klugh of Millersville; stepchildren, Wilty Newman of Maytown, Kurry Newman and wife Cindy of Marietta, Stuart Newman and wife Lisa of New Cumberland, Randy Jones of York, Jennifer Jones of Lancaster, grandchildren, Jeremy Shank, Anthony and Joshua Heaps, Sgt Tyler Rieker, US Army, Desiree Newman, Michael Newman III, Beth Ann Newman, Emily Newman, Katie Barclay, Kurry Newman Jr., Cyan Newman, Alex Newman, Devihon Krames, and Aniysha Krames.

Robert served in the US Army during Vietnam from 1964-68. He then joined the US Air Force – ANGUS for 20 years. Bob had been a bricklayer and mason. He retired from the State Corrections in Camphill where he taught masonry trades. Prior to that he was a prison guard at the Lancaster Prison. He was a member of the St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in New Baltimore. Member of the American Legion Bedford, life member of the VFW and life member of the NRA. He loved his family and will be remembered for his positive attitude and his ability to give people nicknames.

Friends will be received at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Baltimore on Saturday March 12, 2022 from 10 to 11 a.m., where a mass will follow at 11 a.m. with Father Mark Pattock officiating.

Burial at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery New Baltimore.
