Wellersburg, PA – Robert Luther “Bob” Gomer Sr, 81 of Wellersburg died August 2, 2016

Born February 13, 1935 in Sandpatch; he was a son of the late George and Catherine (Geiger) Gomer. He was also preceded in death by a son, Timothy Gomer; brother, Roland “Sike” Gomer, and George “Bud” Gomer

Survived by a son, Robert Luther “Bobby” Gomer Jr. and girlfriend Brandy Custer, Bobby’s mother, Brenda Gomer; sisters, Audrey Beeman and husband Les, all of Wellersburg, Hazel Mallow and husband Bud of Cresaptown, Bonita Lepley of Wellersburg, Zona Murphy and husband Sonny of OH; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Gomer served in the US Army. He was a farmer all his life. Bob drove truck for Hulls Motor Transport. Member of Calvary Bible Church, life member of Barrellville Outdoor Club and Kennells Mill Sportsman’s Club, He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, gardening, cars, auctions, collecting milk bottles and spending time with his sons.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Wednesday August 10, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home Thursday August 11, 2016 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ken Korns officiating

Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale, MD
