Fort Ashby, WV – Robert L. Satzer, 85, of Fort Ashby, WV, went to be with the Lord, Saturday June 20, 2015 at Allegany Nursing and Rehab, Cumberland, MD.

Born November 12, 1929, in Cumberland, MD; He was a son of the late John Sr. and Blanche (Mason) Satzer. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Joyce H. (Davis) Satzer sons, Robert W. and John A. Satzer; brothers, Floyd Mason, John Satzer Jr. and Roy Satzer; sisters, Mildred Fulbright and Evelyn Brook.

Survived by sons, Larry R. Satzer and wife Marsha of Fayetteville, NC, Gary L. Satzer and wife Wanda of Hyndman; a daughter-in-law, Hye Suk Satzer of San Antonio, TX; 6 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

Robert Served in the US Air Force during Korea. He retired from ABL. And worked many years as a greeter at the LaVale Walmart. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hyndman and the Hyndman Masonic Lodge 589 F&AM, where he served as past master.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. where a service will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Kenneth Haines officiating.

Burial will follow at Hyndman Cemetery with Military honors by the Ft. Bedford Honor Guard.
