Hyndman, PA – Ronald Allen “Spike” Spiker Jr., 52, of Hyndman passed away December 1, 2020 as a result of a truck accident.
Born January 11, 1968 in Cumberland; he was a son of Ronald Sr. and Jessie (Kennell) Spiker. He is preceded in death by his brother Michael Spiker.
Survived by his wife of 31 years, Anita K. (Gnagey) Spiker, whom he married October 7, 1989; a son Tyler Spiker and fiancée Heather Merkel of Buffalo Mills; His parents Ron and Jessie of Hyndman, sister-in-law, Beth Gnagey (Jimmy), brothers-in-law, Guy Gnagey (Tina), Roger Gnagey (Lorri), Todd Gnagey (Connie), Rick Dively and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ron served the community of Hyndman for nearly 30 years in the Hyndman Volunteer Fire Department where he was Fire Chief. He was also an EMR for the Hyndman Rescue Squad; a member of the Kennells Mill Sportsmen’s Club and the NRA.
Ron loved semi-trucks and was a truck driver his whole life. He had worked at Croner Inc, New Enterprise Stone & Lime and currently at Rice Tire.
He enjoyed NHRA Drag Racing, Mopars, hunting, riding motorcycles, hanging out with his fire department and EMS family. His greatest joy was spending time with his friends and family. He was a loving husband and father and will be greatly missed by all who loved and know him.
Friends will be received at the Bible Gospel Church, Hyndman Rd, Buffalo Mills, PA on Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the at the church on Monday at 1 p.m with Rev. Gary Pensyl officiating.
Burial will follow at Hyndman Cemetery
