Hyndman, PA – Ruth V. Dermer, 89, of Hyndman went to be with the Lord Saturday August 5, 2017, at WMHS Regional Medical Center, Cumberland, MD. Born December 5, 1927, in Hyndman she was a daughter of the late George and Minerva (Mull) Clites. Also preceded in death by her husband, Paul B. Dermer Jr; a daughter, Roxie Birmingham; brothers, Raymond, Franklin, Samuel, Clyde and Robert Clites; sisters, Ollie Mae Sudduth, and Sarah Hutzell. Survived by sons, Kenny Dermer and wife JoAnn of Hyndman, Brian Dermer and wife Angela of Berlin; a grandson who she raised, Jeff Dermer;  daughters, Judy Rank and husband Joey of LaVale, MD, Linda Miller and husband Joe of Hyndman, Sandy Aurndt and husband Bill of Berlin; a son-in-law, Rick Birmingham of Chambersburg; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Ruth worked at Horner’s Food Market, Diest Pharmacy and Russell Emerick’s Butcher Shop. She was a life member of the Hyndman Church of the Brethren and was a faithful servant of the Lord willing to reach out to all. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and hummingbirds. Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Charles Hay officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Hyndman Cemetery.
