Buffalo Mills, PA – Shayla Lanae Minnick, 26, of Buffalo Mills, passed away Sunday October 11, 2015, at UPMC Bedford.

Born July 2, 1989 in Bedford; she was a daughter of Timothy S. and Rhonda R. (Smith) Minnick.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ray “Buck” and Dottie Smith; paternal grandfather, Lloyd “Jim” Minnick.

Survived by her mother, Rhonda Malia and husband Joe of Fairhope, father, Timothy S. Minnick of Buffalo Mills, a son, Jerik Andrew Merkel; her boyfriend, Kyle Merkel of Buffalo Mills; brothers, Timothy J. “TJ” Minnick of Buffalo Mills, Travis Minnick and wife Jessica of Hyndman; paternal grandmother, Pearl Minnick Kujawa of Hyndman and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Shayla worked at Xerox in Frostburg formerly ACS. She was a member of the Kennells Mill Sportsmen’s Club.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home Thursday 11 a.m. with Pastor Nathan Elliott officiating

Burial will follow at Madley Cemetery, Buffalo Mills, PA
