Hyndman, PA – Shirley L. Leydig, 83, of Hyndman went to be with the Lord on Monday November 30, 2020 at UPMC Altoona.
Born February 9, 1937 in Hyndman she was a daughter of the late William and Ruby (Thomas) Shroyer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William E. Leydig, a daughter, Susan Fleegle, a brother, Harry Shroyer and 2 great grandchildren.
Survived by sons, Stephen Leydig and wife Lela, William Leydig and wife Debra all of Hyndman, Donald Leydig and wife Janey of Manns Choice; 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She was a faithful member of Bible Gospel Church. She had worked at Fairfoot Shoe Factory. Shirley and her husband owned and operated Wash UR Car in Bedford for many years. She enjoyed traveling to Canada to fish and hunting camp. She loved to cook and made sure no one left her house hungry.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. where a service will follow at 2 pm with Pastor Gary Pensyl officiating.
Burial at Dry Ridge Cemetery, Manns Choice.
