Ellerslie, MD – Stephen L. Burley, 71, of Ellerslie, passed away Sunday March 20, 2022, at home surrounded by his family.

Born September 12, 1950, in Cumberland; he was a son of the late Kenneth and Elizabeth (Leonard) Burley.

Survived by his wife of 45 years Deloris (Hare) Burley; whom he married May 21, 1976; children, Kenny Burley of Corriganville, Katrina Burley of Hagerstown; grandchildren, Linda Burley, Destiny So, Ariella So, and Joey Ballerini; great grandson, Brantley Burley; sisters, Cynthia Burley and Beverly Shank of Mount Savage; several nieces and nephews.

Stephen was a truck driver and mechanic. Over the years he had worked at R&L Trucking, PJAX, Ryder Trucking, and Kelly Springfield Tire. He was owner/operator of L & D Vending for many years. He was a member of the Ellerslie United Methodist Church and formerly a member of the Ellerslie Volunteer Fire Department.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Wednesday March 23, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday March 24, 2022 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Steve Nelson and Stanley Hare officiating. Viewing one hour prior.

Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.
